So I saw this blog post in somebody’s auto-updated Blogspot sidebar. Title was:

How Do You Clean A Girl Scout?

It turned out to be a tiny bit of a let-down — it’s a post by a sex educator about moral philosophy and the concept of purity as manifested in current public politics. Was I maybe thinking it would be something more like this? Or this? Or this or this or this or this or this? Or maybe this and this and this and this? Surely nothing like this or this or this or this!

Of course not … that would be wrong. And dirty.

In honor of the upcoming 2012 romantic holiday, and the considerable sale that The Stockroom has on many items every year around this time in honor of it, I thought I’d use my Friday bondage links pulpit to highlight the joys of pink and red BDSM gear, bondage hearts and leather flowers:

And if those won’t get the job done, you might need an honest-to-god serious hood.
• Keeping her positioned where you want her is important too. You’ll need some red hemp rope for starters. If you’re too lazy for rope, I actually quite enjoy these twist ties (think heavy wire with padding). A spreader bar is always fun too.
• Not every girl is going to properly appreciate this festive pink speculum. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it!
• Of course there are many more options available in pink leather wrist cuffs, ankle cuffs, and collars. If that posture collar is not your thing, you can go for a simpler pink collar like this one or this one.
• Ball gags, too, are sometimes employed when a girl would scream but her master finds such noises displeasing. They, too, can be found in pink or red.
• Did we cover leashes? Again, pink ones and red ones are easily found.
• If there are orifices to be invaded and/or plugged, holiday colors can nonetheless be obtained. These red butt plugs and this pink inflatable dildo should get you started!
• Sexy costumery should never be neglected, either. From pink leather corsets to latex kiss dresses, from latex opera gloves and stockings to traditional red teddies and provocative panties, there’s always fun to be had in a special and provocative look.
• Did none of that work for you? In that case, you (or someone in your house) is probably crazy, and you might therefore want to consider a nice red leather straightjacket…

If some fire-n-brimstone religious asshole is railing against sluts and whores, we can sort of understand why. He hates the flesh, fears the pleasures thereof, and by extension, develops jealousy and hatred against those who revel in it.

But I’ve never understood why more-or-less normal hound-dog sexualized porn-enjoying men sometimes seem so obsessed with slut-hating. Perhaps Rain DeGrey nails it in a tweet:

When someone is hating on SLUTS & WHORES, what it really means is they are upset the sluts aren’t paying any attention to THEM.

Religious conservatives of many different sorts all seem to agree: a good modest woman covers her face in public, right? Right?
