Sorry, Debbie, but if it were genuinely a noose, I might not have run the photo. Nooses are generally beyond my safety/comfort zone as a publisher because a noose is a self-tightening knot that’s kinda too easy to kill people with while playing with them. No, what I see in this photograph is several loops of snug rope, which I presume to be secured behind the neck in a manner designed not to tighten as the model moves or struggles. You are probably right about the coils of rope. Husband and I do use nooses but that is just our thing and we are very careful. Breath control is very important to us in our sex life but as you say it should not become normal practice to put a noose on a victim and do not ever leave them alone whilst being restrained this way.
Thanks for understanding the nuance I was trying to put into my comment here. BDSM is full of “people should never engage in XYZ fetish, it’s too dangerous” and I despise that kind of blind assumption that we all have the same preferences for risk, or should do so.
