First there was the William F. Soare cover of Mystery Novels and Short Stories, back in November of 1939. No bondage (unless you count the ape), so not really on the Bondage Blog beat, but still a very nice pulp cover:

Much more recently, some enterprising Photoshop-jockey cleaned up the central part of the artwork for our amusement:

But that wasn’t good enough for Dr. Faustus at Erotic Mad Science. As part of his pulp art recreation series, he paid (yes, he actually pays) artist Frans Mensink to re-imagine the scene. Mensink put rope bondage and more nudity into the scene, and swapped out the ugly old man for a bodacious female evil medical assistant:

Back in April I wrote:

Word has reached me that, at long last, some of the old and fondly-remembered Insex.com videos are being re-released in the United States as special bonus material for members of Infernal Restraints. The old Insex movies no longer bear that famous brand name, though, nor are they locked in those unloved and unlamented tiny square RealMovie files. Now the movies are in 2xHD .mp4s, with a modern widescreen aspect ratio and the Infernal Restraints watermark.

The latest (July 13) original-Insex bonus scene features Marina being subjected to various astonishing indignities in a variety of cages, mostly indoors. But the scene concludes with her being lowered in a heavy cage into an outdoor body of water on what looks like a chilly autumn day.
