This colorful scene of domestic bondage is from a 1940s advertisement for kitchen appliances. “Now you can pressure-cook with one hand tied behind your back!” Or, while I’m back here, I can tie both hands and flip up your skirt, and we can have a little fun on the kitchen floor:
