Clothesline-Bondage Explosion

Here’s a photograph that’s in the best (worst) tradition of sloppy, messy, loose, fetish-magazine bondage using lots and lots of clothesline:

So let me get this straight, are you saying that any clothesline bondage found in magazines is loose, sloppy and no good? What about all those great Harmony magazines with the works of Sean Harper, Carl McGuire, Jason Cord, Lorelei, Jon Woods, Jay Edwards and Dominic Wolfe to name a few? You keep showing the WORST of the old vintage pictures (like the example in this blog) but you won’t show any examples of the people that I’ve mentioned.

LOL,no. If I was saying that, I would have said that, doncha think?

Early bondage porn featured a dichotomy. Some of it was done by genuine fetishists and artists, and was lovingly and carefully rendered. You named some of the people in that category.

And then there was a ton of it done by pornographers who didn’t understand the fetish and didn’t care, but were just trying to slap some rope on a model to make a fast buck. Their stuff tended to be loose, sloppy, and ugly, like there was an explosion in a clothesline factory.

I happen to find this latter category of bondage funny and amusing, so, from time to time, I post examples of it. The “classics” on the other hand don’t fall in the same mental category; the bondage is too well-rendered, and I tend to notice the model and not the fact that they’re tied with clothesline (when they are).

My apologies. I stand corrected. I’m a bit sensitive these days because I’ve heard and read so many posts on fetish blogs that have been attacking the style of bondage I like as being “unrealistic” and “boring”. But you are right about many of those early (and even later) clothesline bondage images. Some of that stuff says to me: “let’s just throw some rope on the girl any old way. Those pervs will buy anything”. I remember one bondage mag in particular called 300 Bondage Photos. The pix were just horrendous. I tied up girls when I was in high school better than the bondage in those pictures!

Sheesh — when I was in high school it was hard enough just to get their bra off, let alone convince them to be tied up.
