The Fetish Power Of Bondage Ordeals
A common light-hearted social mixing experience among people who enjoy bondage is swapping tales about how we first came to realize that we were kinky. The most common kinkster origin story by far is that most of us experienced some sort of special “thrill” upon encountering some bit of bondage popular culture — a comic book, a movie scene, or a bit of television. Typically this happened early, long before most of us were old enough to realize that bondage could be sexualized or that we’d likely be spending our whole lives looking to hook up with partners who also enjoy the bondage fetish.
In popular culture, we very often — dare I say, predominantly? — encounter bondage as part of some sort of predicament or ordeal. The classic example is the “woman tied to the railroad tracks” trope so beloved of adventure serials from the silent movie era. The way fetishes work, it’s no surprise that people who wind up with a bondage fetish, also not infrequently turn out to have an ordeal fetish too. It’s funny how that works, isn’t it?
Luckily, there’s plenty of bondage porn that caters to both fetishes at once. Illustrator “Eneg” (one of the many pen names of Gene Bilbrew), working in the 1950s, was a master of drawing ordeal bondage scenarios. The examples in this post are from Princess Elaine’s Terrible Fate and The Dangerous Plight Of Princess Elaine. In general, the less said about Elaine’s troubles, the better, but it will serve to note that she finds herself caught up as the unwilling bondage performer in a wide variety of bondage gladiatorial games with very high stakes. You know the games are exotic when the most nondescript game in the bunch is the pony girl racing:

By “fun” of course I mean “fun to officiate”, are you insane? Of course they would be sheer misery to perform, that’s the largest part of the point! But with proper motivation, I’m sure the ladies could cover quite a lot of ground in those things!

The officials have, as they say on the restaurant shows, “elevated the dish” — this is the fanciest damn wheelbarrow race imaginable! But I’m sure the contestants get very tired by the twentieth lap nonetheless, and would flag and falter if they weren’t thoroughly terrified of the punishments and forfeits to be dished out to the losers.
