Steph from Cunting Linguist has written an excellent “Bondage For Beginners” guide in two parts:
Part I
Part II
Most of the twenty zillion Bondage 101 articles on the net focus too much on the mechanics (how to tie the knots) or too much on safety. (Yes, I said “too much on safety.” Safety is vital, but bondage safety info is neck-deep on the internet. Anybody who is googling sees that first. You don’t need to repeat it endlessly. That’s why I tend to delete comments from the safety nazis who come through this blog and feel the need to “supplement” my content with their own safety views and advice.)
Whoops, mini-rant, now safely over. Anyway, Steph’s bondage guide doesn’t try to re-do the copious practical and safety information that’s out there. Instead, it’s a guide to making bondage fun and erotic, and it’s chock full of practical tips for that:
You’re bringing food into the equation because a) they’re at your mercy and b) if you’re doing it right, they’ll be blindfolded for a while. The fruit is practical and sensual at the same time. When the bondage play begins, and they’re blindfolded, feeding them a mystery fruit will have to force them to turn their senses on. It’s a pleasure trigger. They’ll need to figure out what they’re eating, thus making them sensually more alert for when you begin playing.
Or:
When you’re making your way up their body, be it with kisses or with drizzled syrup, going in a straight line doesn’t work as effectively as zig-zagging will. Why not? Because nerves like surprises, and if you’re working in a straight line, the body knows what’s coming next. This is always, always about surprising the senses.
Good stuff!
