The first time I ever encountered the notion of a coin-operated sex slave was — of course — in my furiously-wanking adolescence, reading a John Norman Gor novel. I no longer remember which of his many Counter-Earth chained-slavegirl extravaganza novels it was that introduced the idea that a master temporarily short of cash could lock a coin box around the neck of a slavegirl and chain her in a busily-trafficked area to peddle her ass, with punishments suitable if she failed to collect enough coins in the box before her master returned for her.
