As the famous line from Hamlet goes, there are more things in heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy. And by “things” Shakespeare meant “fetishes.” OK, or maybe he didn’t — but I sure as hell do! You might wonder what’s up with this sex doll transformation fetish, considering that we live in a world where it’s not all that hard to buy your own lifelike and realistic sex dolls, ones that might be said to compare very favorably to fantasy-art dolls that have been drawn to emphasize how “doll-like” they are. But of course it’s folly to try too hard to deconstruct any fetish; the libido wants what it wants.
Nonetheless it’s not too hard to spot some of the fetish “fun spots” here that overlap with other fetishes. Like bondage, the love doll conversion fetish offers the “deprivation of sexual agency” idea that men and women often both enjoy. “She can’t say no” / “I was helpless” are hot for an awful lot of people, or this blog wouldn’t exist! There’s also an extreme, literal, objectification angle. Being turned into an object, and treated like one, is a fetish for many. And sex dolls are, like porn stars and fashion models, idealized in their physical attributes; what a person loses in physical agency, they may gain back in hypersexualized physical attributes, like impossibly huge tits:
What’s also fun about these fetishes is the wide variety of silly or crazy stories that artists dream up to justify the transformation art. My personal favorite is the advanced nanotechnology paint that can transform someone if they touch it unknowingly. (This is usually deployed by scientific nerdboys with sexual revenge agendas; the image at the top of this post may be an example.) More commonly, though, some sort of magic or wizardry is involved. Sometimes the art makes clear that straight-up spellcasting is required. Here we see a wizard making a sex doll, wand out and book open to the “doll” spell. It takes a lot of hard years of lonely study to become a wizard — do you think they wouldn’t make a few spells for personal power and sexual gratification? That’s why it’s such a dangerous mistake to treat a wizard like the nerd that he probably is:
It’s also well known that wizards are some of the kinkiest bastards around, and some evidence for this can be observed in the above artwork. (It’s by Kaminitro; I found it and several other images for this post in the “Transformation” directory at the /d/eviants depository.) Did you notice that the living sex doll our wizard is creating has pleasure openings in the locations where the woman he started with would have had nipples? That’s a perverted little twist if I ever saw one, but it introduces an idea that’s central to a great deal of sex doll transformation fetish artwork: while a person is being transformed into a sex doll, why not change other attributes as well?
