This is not the first time I have written about my love of link lists, which were one of the earliest sorts of porn sites to “go viral” (before anybody ever said that phrase) and get a whole lot of traffic in a hurry on the young internet. Link lists got popular in those pioneering days because they were extraordinarily useful. Then, later, they got unpopular and non-useful again, when an early breed of rascally crook figured out you could lie about where the links went. But these lists still work even today, if they have a brand name and are operated in a trustworthy fashion. So a few of the early ones still survive, and one or two other good ones have popped up over the years with a brand so unmistakable and a list of porn so useful that they’ve made a trusted niche for themselves. It’s in this latter collection that I would put Mr Porn Geek’s linklist. It has many many link categories (my rough count suggests perhaps sixty-five or so) but the one of most interest to Bondage Blog readers is probably the list of bdsm websites:

Although some of the thirty-plus fetish sites on Mr. Porn Geek’s linklist may already be familiar to Bondage Blog readers — his list does after all include an assortment of Kink.com’s finest efforts such as we have long appreciated here — I think most of you will be able to discover some BDSM novelty elsewhere on the list. I know that I for one was pleasantly surprised by the discovery of at least three different sites that had somehow slipped under my radar before now. One of these was a site featuring a director and talent I’m quite familiar with. I’d have described myself as a fan– but what kind of fan lets himself not be aware that his fan-crush has gone and opened a new site? A bad one! Anyway, I won’t spoil your fun by telling you which site that was. Or am I trying to save face by not admitting just how out of touch I had somehow managed to get? You be the judge…
