Hobble Cans: She Won’t Get Far
In theory a girl could get away while wearing these hobble can restraints, but in practice she wouldn’t get far, and she wouldn’t get there very fast:

Well, obviously they “can” be, but I don’t think they need to be unless your security perimeter is particularly close in. Front parlor in an urban townhouse with draperies opening onto a busy street, yes. Basement of a secluded farmhouse with a half-mile gravel driveway behind a locked gate? Maybe not so much.
I’m trying to imagine what it would be like to walk in those. You’d have free movement of your hips and knees but not your ankles. Interesting.
