Jealous Of The Kink Girls

Now here’s an interesting perspective from Tumblr, from a woman who doesn’t like Kink.com because it’s too wholesome and positive compared to her own BDSM experiences:

I’d never been able to enjoy kink.com. I love the bondage and the gear and the humiliation, but for as long as I can remember it just made me feel bad to watch girls voluntarily embark on glamorous BDSM adventures in sunny San Francisco, where they get to be tied up and have a good cum and walk away having built character and grown as people. That was exactly the life I wanted for myself, exactly the life I had failed to achieve. My own SM sessions had resulted in pain, shame, self hatred and regret, and here were these beautiful girls living la dolche vita, rubbing my nose in my failure to adapt to the main stream of kink. Honestly every time I see some girl on Kink.com being brought off with a magic wand strapped between her legs, it just makes me feel depressed and more than a little bitter.

Sounds like she needs to find better partners. “tied up and have a good cum” pretty much describes what my partners end up suffering through.

If you don’t feel better after sex with your partner, kink or vanilla, then perhaps you need a better partner.

I always wonder just what percentage of people in the BDSM world feel this way. Abusive partners are far from uncommon in the outside world, and they must bleed across into our world with some regularity.

I agree with y’all. But some people engage in some very complex psychodynamics, especially with humiliation play. It’s not hard to imagine somebody — especially somebody into humilation, like this author — having a string of bad experiences due to bad play partners or poorly-mapped psychological land mines or both.
