“Light Bondage” — Uh oh…

Brookpuppy used a certain phrase without due consideration in advance, and now she’s hoping it doesn’t come back to haunt her:

In my last post i mentioned that W is into ‘light’ bondage. Apparently that is offensive in some way. I didn’t mean for it to be. What i meant was that He likes to tie me to the bed or occasionally harness me, but He doesn’t hang me from the ceiling in elaborate rigging. That’s just not His thing. If it ever became an interest of His then it would immediately become an interest of mine.

I think the lesson here is to avoid using the words like ‘light’ or ‘mild’ when referring to anything a Dom does. It comes across as a challenge. I’m nervous about the things going through W’s mind now and need to make every effort to keep Him out of Home Depot. That’s a dangerous place for a Dom to visit anyway.

Indeed!

Don’t ya just love it when words cave you in? Just a few days ago Master asked about something and he heard my reply as “I don’t know” and I was saying “I don’t, no!”

In this example it is plain to understand what was meant, but in the heat of a moment, words often betray my intent.
