Tied To His Mast (Revisited)
Remember this post featuring a man, his mast, and a tied-up lady?
Well, Pat Powers has his own funny riff on that image… but what’s more, he’s got an attribution! Turns out it was cover art from a paperback by John Slater called Woman Of Blood Island.

Thanks for the mention Ropeguy. I did some further checking and found out that the guy who did the naked gal at the mast painting is an artist named Col Cameron, who did a LOT of lurid damsel in distress art for an Australian publisher called Horwitz back in the 60s and 70s. I wrote it up with links to more pics and background over on my blog. Mystery solved!
