Bondage In The First Sentence

If I live a hundred years, I’ll never be able to come up with the opening lines that Monmouth does.

The first sentence of this post is utterly wasted on an eight-paragraph blog post; indeed, I think it could open a prize-winning novel. Check it out:

We all find ourselves at one point or another tying up a tall blonde from Manchester without the proper qualifications…

Thank you kindly Rope Guy, but I must confess: This opening line is an homage to a chapter opener in Tibor Fischer’s novel The Thought Gang. I can’t find the exact page in the book, but it’s something to the effect that “We all find ourselves … running a whorehouse in Amsterdam without the proper qualifications.”

cheers,

Mon

Aww… but don’t worry, it’s still a great line.
