The nose is very sensitive and any pain or pressure in that region seems magnified. We only have one set which we use sparingly as husband knows I don’t really like them,but when I am restrained hand foot and to finger I don’t have a lot of say in the matter!

Nose rings have been used for thousands of years on large animals like bulls because it makes them tractable; a nose hook makes a girl keep her head up in the direction the hook pulls for the same reason. I’m sure there’s more, but that’s what I got.
