I believe a good answer at that point would be a sincere-sounding compliment that indicated the would-be dom viewed her with specific human interest, rather than just as an interchangeable female plaything. Bonus points if the compliment reveals that the would-be dom had been specifically attentive to her and noticed something non-obvious to be attracted by.

What too many people seem to miss is that BDSM relationships are still relationships. “I want to fuck you one or two times” is really not enough to be getting on with.
