It is terribly abusive. You’re all absolutely correct. And the race card is definitely drawn, but IMHO therein lies the exact reason it’s such an intense turn on! Yes, there is the taboo of wanting to be taken by a brutal dark skinned military dude, restrained, chained to be held captive and used for their pleasure. Gets me dripping. Taboos and our hidden social phobias and prejudices are always present. We can deny them….or enjoy them in a very hot way in the right situation. In the fetish world I’ve learned that there are labels for this kind of thing and no one seems to mind. In fact it’s enjoyed! Just another side to this. A less serious but extremely hot version of what we FEEL rather than what we think. Because what lies deep within each of us is the truth behind what’s really driving us ; )

They vary wildly by artist, of course. I like a lot of the artwork, especially in the titles that don’t run to smacking and blood; but very little of the dialog in the balloon boxes is worth the paper to print it out and set it on fire.

Well, the portrayal of blacks in TinTin and other European and American comics is actually much worse appearance wise. Personally, I’m not much of a fan of Dofantasy comics period.

I know what you mean, but…

Throughout the range of these comics, the sexual aggressor male characters are universally portrayed as evil and repulsive. They’re also frequently drawn as brutish, violent, stupid, ugly, moronic, slavering, and sixteen other horrid adjectives you could pick yourself. That’s deliberate I’m sure — it maximizes the horror of the plight of Our Heroines.

I expect it would be impossible to drawn repulsive sexual villains of any identifiable race without being accused of racism against that race.

I think of all the doFantasy stuff, I dislike this story the most. It strikes me as incredibly racist artwork. It reminds me of the portrayal of blacks in TinTin.
