You have to watch season 4 and 6 ! It’s bondage everywhere ! Linda Thorson is tied up, gagged and bound almost in every stories ! And Diana Rigg in season 4, always tied up in leather !… The main word is KINKY TV ! Leather, bondage & SM relations with the villains !
And for guys in bondage, Wild wild west is the best !!! Bare cheasted Robert Conrad wearing black leather chaps and tied with open legs ! It was obvious the producer was gay !
Anyway, the Avengers is such a wonderfull show, you can watch it even if you’re not concerned by those kinky details… It’s the best from the sixties.

I was just talking about this to a friend. Sixties television seemed to have a lot of bondage. It was a bit campy, but it was there. The Avengers, Star Trek, Wild Wild West… people were getting tied up all the time.

It’s not as bad as you think, Nymph — I was sort of raised by anti-TV ex-hippies, so if stuff was on TV before I was in high school, it doesn’t exist for me — especially since I never developed the sort of relationship with TV that lets me sit around watching re-runs of shows I didn’t see the first time around.

If you never saw the Avengers, you need to start looking now. They often featured bondage, and for at least one season each episode had a scene where one of the two main characters was tied up (or chained up) and in peril, while the other rushed to rescue their partner. They alternated the “victim” and “hero” roles, so one week it would be Steed, the following week Emma Peel (Diana Rigg, the actress in the female lead role before Linda Thorson), so every episode of that season you had a 50% chance of a “woman in bondage” scene.
