Sedate? Yes. Very classy ladies, from very respectable and wealthy families. The ones in skirts look humiliated and a little dazed. No doubt they sense that even though their skirt lengths would be quite demure in public, here a skirt (whatever its hemline) allows easy access for a guard’s hand (or billy club?) to slide up her leg….all the way up along the inside of her thigh!

I like the seated pair. They are nervous, and it shows in their perfect posture. They are absolutely silent, frozen like mice before a snake. Keep the knees together and hope that if the males can’t see the crotch of their slacks, they won’t get any ideas.

Yet while the younger one (closer to the viewer) looks like she is in shock and is uncertain what’s to come, the older one expects the inevitable. She is steeling herself though to be brave when her sexual abuse starts. Her stoic example will help keep the younger one from hysteria as she watches and awaits her turn.
