The photos taken during this scene are much more famous then the clip, but in the one book (title currently escapes me) where Bettie actually does contirbute in her own words, she admits to this being the only set that ever scared her. The full clip involves an attempt to lift her off her feet through the use of rope running from her wrists and ankles through a series of pulleys. I will admit that this gif has a low frame rate, though.

Of course you are correct that Betty did many movies. And I’ve not seen them all. My point was that this particular .gif looks hand-assembled to me. Possibly I’m wrong, though.
