You just can’t look at this vintage photo of glamour superstar Sophia Loren from the 1950s without thinking about reaching over and tightening that buckled fabric choke collar. Just an inch; maybe an inch and a half. Not enough to strangle her, oh no — just enough so that she feels every breath, and has to consider it a little bit. You can’t see this photo without thinking about doing that… which is just how her fashion designer wanted it:
