And, you know, by the time I get out of the shoot I can’t walk or talk, I don’t know who I am, and that’s not drugs or alcohol. That is me having found a path to tap into my body and naturally produce endorphins and adrenaline in my head——where I’m getting such a rush and it’s… Who would not want to hallucinate and forget who they are? It’s utter un-self-consciousness. I don’t want to worry about no electrical bill! I don’t want to worry about no cat food! It allows you to be so grounded in the moment, and then transformed into other universes. And these fuckers pay me! Are you serious? It’s fabulous! You’re gonna make me hallucinate, make me lose all self-consciousness, you’re gonna completely ground me and my body, make me totally blissful — lying on the floor drooling, unable to walk — and then throw money at my head?
