This is not what you’d call “narrowing it down,” but just to locate it *somewhere* on the planet, I’d say Japan. The flying exclamation points are usually an indication of that. (Though I guess I’d expect more ropes in that case.)
Well, yeah. It’s in a manga style, and though there are imitators (especially in China and Korea) most manga comes from Japan. But that’s the equivalent of saying it came from a comic book or a graphic novel — it doesn’t tell us much.
