UNCONQUERED also had descriptions of the prison holding pens for women in London in 1770... &#039;fifty or more naked women who had traded their garments for easement&#039;... etc.

Ah the pleasures of the &#039;historical novel&#039;. Swanson followed up with THE JUDAS TREE, with a fine whipping scene... and...]]></description>
